Gruppo Otto, the renowned design team behind Quantum, aimed to strike a balance between luxurious quality and sporty dynamism. The result is a composition that is fluid, essential, and adaptable. Drawing inspiration from both historical vehicles and future technologies, Quantum pushes the boundaries of automotive design.

The design of Quantum is characterized by its innovative construction. The lower section features magnetically suspended omni wheels, providing unprecedented maneuverability on the road. On top of this technical base, the passenger cell is constructed from lightweight aluminum, creating a contrasting and adaptable interior.

Inside Quantum, the focus is on sustainability and comfort. Recycled newspaper wood replaces traditional plastic moldings, while the seats are made from a flexible 3D printed foam. The interior is equipped with a plethora of OLED displays, providing information and entertainment to passengers.

One of the standout features of Quantum is its interaction with users. Utilizing biometrics, the vehicle recognizes its users and adapts to their preferences as they approach. Whether the driver prefers traditional driving or full autonomy, Quantum can accommodate both. The interior layout can transform from a 2+2 configuration to a sporty 1+2+1 diamond layout, prioritizing the driver while offering passengers unparalleled legroom.

The Quantum project started in March 2015 and was completed in November 2015 in Milano, Italy. The design team conducted extensive research to propose a vision of the future of limousines. They overcame technical challenges, such as justifying the unconventional chassis structure and omni wheel setup, to ensure the feasibility and usability of the design.

Quantum has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2017 in the Vehicle, Mobility, and Transportation Design category. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
